Meet Christopher Bowers

Bringing Energy, Positivity, and Passion to Every Patient

Patient services specialist Christopher Bowers brings energy, positivity, and creativity to everything he does. Born and raised in Spokane, Wash., Christopher developed a lifelong passion for music, particularly drumming.

“Music is my outlet and my weapon,” says Christopher, who has been playing the drums for nearly four decades. “It’s always been a way for me to express myself and stay grounded.”

Christopher’s journey eventually led him to Charlotte after meeting “a South Carolina girl” who would become his wife. After they discussed relocating, she accepted a job opportunity in Uptown Charlotte in 2019. Without hesitation, Christopher and his family embraced what he calls “the best move in the world.”

Outside of work, Christopher is an aviation enthusiast. After receiving the unforgettable gift of a flight experience from his wife on Father’s Day, his interest in flying took off, literally! He enrolled in flight school and is close to earning his pilot’s license.

What was your journey to Tryon like?

Christopher’s path to Tryon Medical Partners began with a simple online job post. Several months after first noticing the listing, he received a call from a recruiter asking if he was still interested in joining the team, even while pursuing his aviation goals.

“I told them absolutely. I wanted to be part of something meaningful.”

During the interview process, Christopher connected immediately with his leader, Erik Rice.

“When I mentioned that I fly often, he said, ‘I think that’s the coolest thing ever,’” Christopher recalls. “That kind of support meant a lot.”

Today, Christopher serves as a Patient Services Specialist at the Huntersville location, where he focuses on creating a welcoming experience for patients from the moment they arrive.

“When patients walk in, they need to see you smile,” he says. “Sometimes patients come in expecting the worst, but they get the best from us. No one can have a bad day around me!”

What is different about Tryon as an employer?

Christopher believes Tryon delivers on its promises and prioritizes people in meaningful ways.

“What they say is what they mean,” he says. “Nothing is fake; just true, authentic relationships.”

From his first day, Christopher felt supported by leadership and welcomed by his fellow team partners. He credits strong leadership and teamwork with helping him meet expectations and stay accountable.

“If I say I’m going to call you back by four, I’ll call you back by three,” he adds.

How has Tryon helped you grow professionally?

Working at Tryon Medical Partners has strengthened Christopher’s professional skills and reinforced his commitment to adaptability and excellence. He often draws parallels between his work in healthcare and his aviation training.

“Aviation is constantly changing,” he explains. “You never know what the situation will be, so you have to adjust on the spot and get the job done.”

Christopher believes his role at Tryon has improved his awareness and communication skills, even influencing how he approaches flight training.

“I find myself thinking, ‘How would I handle this if I were at work?’” he says. “It’s made me more in tune with my day-to-day interactions.”

Above all, he credits his team partners and leaders for his continued growth and success.

“I am only as good as the person next to me,” he beams. “I have the best team on the planet.”
