Thank you everyone for your help and support with donating more than 400 books for children of all ages to Promising Pages.
Promising Pages collects new and donated books and distributes them to students and organizations, with the goal of eliminating the book desert and providing a free resource to those that need it most. Promising Pages donated over 71,000 books this spring. While they distribute books throughout the year, their big push is to give each child in need five books over the summer break. This helps keep their reading level sharp as it is shown that many kids loose over a year off their reading level by not reading/having access to books over the summer.
Shout out to all of our practice managers for making this possible, especially Uptown practice manager, Kelsey Fennie, who led the effort.
